Today (07/05/2023) we had our second Muslim Time T

Today (07/05/2023) we had our second Muslim Time Trial 🤩

We started off the day bright and early arriving for registration by 7.30, we pinned our numbers on and off we went to start our reccy ride of the route 📍🧭

Once we warmed up we were ready to start our TT, heads down ready to push too new limits 💪🏽 The women raced first getting a best time from @muslimwomencycling of 35 minutes and 22 seconds 🤩🤩 the men raced next with a best time of 24.38 🚴🏽

As we cheered everyone across the finish line 🏁 riders headed back to the start point to have some much deserved chai, somosas and cake made and decorated beautifully by @asminakassam 🍰 it’s not a ride without cake 🎂

Thank you to all those who attended we hope you enjoyed a new/fun experience!! 🥳

This weekend we held our 3rd Eid Cyclethon 🤩🤩 we tried a new discipline, CYCLOCROSS, riding through the grass and gravel gave the ladies and kids a nice challenge and change of pace from the road 🚵🏽‍♀️ even our wonderful Marshall’s got involved!!

As always we had our annual Eid Raffle where all the proceeds go towards our fundraising campaign. This year we are fundraising for #educate2empower to give children in Pakistan, Kenya and Tanzania access to quality education 📚.

We had over 20 prizes donated by @garminuk @raleighbikes @stolen.goat @desidollcompany @arabiq.online @the_arabian_warrior @simsimbakery @trekbikes_uk @hayyafitness @muslimwomencycling @bespoketasbihs and so many others 🎉🎉

Thanks to @chaiiwala for providing the food for our hungry riders and Jimmy uncle for keeping our coaches fed 🤤

Thank you to all the riders for attending this weekend! Our coaches and Marshalls’s who made this day possible and of course our wonderful executive team who spent weeks planning this event to make it perfect ❤️❤️

*Are you ready for a Time Trial?!*

All you need to get ready is know how to ride a bike! 😁 🚴 It really is as simple as that!

We are inviting men, women and children aged 14+ to take part.

Men and women will ride separately and all riders will begin *individually* with a timed gap between riders 🚴⏱️

*Spaces are limited* 😯

• Women who completed the full Components of Fitness Course can register for free.

• Participants who registered for the postponed Time Trial in March have automatically been registered.

Yesterday we were so delighted to have got tickets to go to @rapha_uk Ramadan Laps and Iftar 🚲😋

We met so many wonderful brothers and sisters some who we hadn’t seen in a while and reconnected in this holy month with our common passion 🚴🏽‍♀️🚴🏽

After getting our @fasted500 miles around Regents Park we headed back to the clubhouse to pray alongside our sisters and brothers before having some delicious Iftar 🤤

Since we were in London we couldn’t stop there we had to ride to see the Ramadan Lights in Piccadilly Circus where we met the incredible Aisha @ramadanlightsuk who enabled the lights to be there in the first place!! 🤩🕌

It was an amazing evening and we are already counting down the days till next year!!

We can’t help but look back at how far we’ve come from last Ramadan to now, it really has been a journey and we can only thank Allah for his help and guidance 🌹

On this first Friday of the blessed month of Ramadan, Evolve wish to introduce our fundraising campaign for 2023 🌸

Evolve is proud to champion three of LFT’s #Educate2Empower campaigns

*Campaign 1 - Improving the teaching in 55 primary schools in Tanzania (55,000+ students)*

*Campaign 2 - Supporting LFT’s Deaf Reach Program across 7 deaf schools across Pakistan (1,500+ students)*

*Campaign 3 – Creating a digital platform across 19 schools in Kenya (400+ students)*

Each of our upcoming cycling events present great fundraising opportunities for children being deprived of their basic right to an education.

As our members, riders, and supporters, we humbly request each of you to aim to raise £250 this year, which will contribute towards our group annual target of £60,000.

The much needed donations will be used to train teachers; provide school books, uniform and equipment; provide nutritious school meals; renovate schools and create a digital platform to aid children’s education.

Let’s all do our part to empower these children to dream of a better tomorrow.

Yesterday we traded our jerseys in for fancy dress as we attended the @ldn_sport awards!! 🤩🤩

We were nominated as a finalist for the Community Impact Award for all the work Evolve has done within the past 2 years which has been a lot!! led rides, skills sessions, components of fitness, go ride and soo much more 😍😍

We are thankful to everyone who supported us on this journey and even though we didn’t win we will continue working extra hard for everyone who benefits from the club even if it’s in a small way 🌹❤️

Bring a female friend of any faith/culture to join in with the fun!! 🤩  As part of your registration which is free!
